Course Content Permissions

Administrators can configure curriculum content permissions for instructors assigned to a course from the Course Settings page. These permissions determine the level of access instructors have to manage course curriculum content. The permission settings apply only to the Admin → Courses → Curriculum section and do not affect the learner-facing experience.

Course Settings

Navigate to Courses → Course Details and add instructors to the course. A Permission option will be available under the Instructor field.

Click the Permission option. A Content Permission option will be apprear.

You will find three permission options available:

  • Full Edit Access

  • Own Content Only

  • View Only (No Curriculum Edit/Delete)

  1. Full Edit Access (Default): No restrictions are applied. The logged-in instructor can edit or delete any curriculum content within the course.

  2. Own Content Only: The logged-in instructor can edit or delete only the curriculum content created by them within the selected course. Content created by admin or other instructors cannot be modified or deleted.

  3. View Only: The logged-in instructor can view the course curriculum but cannot edit or delete any content within the selected course.

Bundle Settings

In the case of Bundles, the Permission option is available in the Bundle → Bundle Details section under the Instructor field. Clicking this option will display the Content Permission settings.

The following three permission levels are available for bundles:

  • Full Edit Access

  • Own Content Only

  • View Only (No Curriculum Edit/Delete)

  1. Full Edit Access (Default): No restrictions are applied. The logged-in instructor can edit or delete any content within the bundle.

  2. Own Content Only: The logged-in instructor can view the bundle details but does not have permission to edit or delete any content within the selected bundle.

  3. View Only: The logged-in instructor can view the bundle details but cannot edit or delete any content within the selected bundle.
