Setting up a survey in your curriculum is quite straightforward. To begin, navigate to the 'Courses' and select a 'Course' that you want to add a survey to.

Go to 'Curriculum' and add a section. Let us name the section 'Other Media'.

'Add Lesson' under 'Other Media'.

Add 'Lesson Name' i.e. "Survey" > click 'Save'

'Add Content' > 'Survey'

This window will open up asking for a 'Survey Title' i.e. "Zenler Survey" > click 'Add'.

This is the survey interface, allowing you to design and arrange your survey.

On the left-hand side of the screen, you'll observe several options under 'Add Question,' including multiple-choice questions, multiple-choice questions with media (like images or videos), true-or-false questions, questions mandating a star rating, questions utilizing a scale rating, and lastly, an alternative for free text, enabling respondents to furnish written responses.

  1. 'Choices' question type, is how the page appears for you.

The initial step involves formulating the question you want to ask. Subsequently, provide the answer choices that respondents can select from.

For example:

Q: "Was this course what you expected it to be?"

A1: "It was great course"

A2: "It did not help me"

A3: "It exceeded my expectations"

You can add more answers just clicking '+ New Option'. If any answers are in the wrong order, they can be rearranged via drag & drop.

Notice that there's no checkmark next to the options because respondents have the freedom to select any field that seems most appropriate. It's important to clarify that this isn't a quiz; participants are simply choosing the most fitting option from the set you've provided.

Additionally, you have the option to incorporate media options i.e. images within the questions or answers to enhance the visual appeal. The dimensions for these images can be 145px x 145px.

In the 'Answer Settings,' you can specify the answers as Required, Single Response, Randomize, or Supe Size'

Once you've completed setting up your Choices survey, click 'Save Changes'.

2. 'Media'.

Q: "What is the best representation for this course?"

A: Upload several images to provide respondents with a variety of choices. To upload media, click on the upload media icon.

There is an option to upload a video or image. In this case, 'Add Image'.

Select the 'Image' > click 'Open'.

Crop Image and click 'Save'.

Be cautious about sizing – ensure your images have sufficient white space around them to prevent cropping issues. For now, I'll use the current image dimensions and save the changes, resulting in the image being displayed within the question.

To add another answer option, click '+New Option' & click the 'Upload Media Icon'.

Repeat the same process as previously, but now we select "happy face". This concludes the setup for this particular question type. You can continue to add more options as needed. Click 'Save Changes'.

3. 'True/False'.

Q: "Does Zenler have marketing tools built in?"

A1: "True"

A2: "False"

You can modify the 'True/False' options to suit your needs. For example, instead of "True" and "False," you could replace them with "Yes, it does" and "No, it does not."

Click 'Save Changes'.

4. 'Rating'.

Q: 'Rate this course'.

A: A five-star rating system

The answer can be customized to have more or less than 5 steps in the 'Answer Settings'.

Furthermore, you can include a Question 'Description' and an answer based on the selected rating. 'Save Changes'.

5. 'Scale'.

Q: "Rate this course"

A: Rating scale 1-5

This time, participants are presented with a scale, and you can adjust the scale to have more options—up to 10—or fewer than the default 5.

You can also 'Enable Description' and write your question down.

'Answer Settings' > 'Show Labels' > Bad, Good or Excellent

6. 'Free Texts'

Q: "Write what you feel the course is missing?"

A: Enable Description - write down the answer

In the 'Answer Settings' you can specify the required 'Max Characters' to increase the maximum character limit if you need more space or keep it unchanged.
