To import users into your Zenler site, you can use the import feature which allows you to bring in users in "CSV format". In this example, we will show you how to import users from a Google Sheet. We have three fields/columns in our sheet: "Name", "Surname" & "Email", but you can add more if needed.

To save the Google Sheet as a CSV file, click on File > Download > Comma Separated Values. Save the file to your computer and rename it to "import" before placing it on your desktop.

To import the file into Zenler, go to: People > All > click on "Import Users".

Step 1: Upload

Choose "CSV File" from your computer and "Import as", the role type for the users (for example, if they haven't bought any courses, you can import them as leads) & click "Next".

NOTE: You can only import users as one role type at a time, so make sure your CSV file contains the correct role types.

Step 2: Map Columns

Map the correct fields from the CSV file to Zenler's import system. You'll see the same fields that are in your Google Sheet, such as first name, last name, and email. Make sure to map them correctly & click "Next".

You can also add extra fields such as phone number, address, city, state, zip or postcode, country, and GDPR consent status.

Step 3: Finish

At this stage, you have the ability to add a tag if you want to filter your users. You can also import users into a funnel (fire automation or email sequences) or any live webinars that you are running. Next, click "Finish".

This message will pop up. You will receive an email as the site admin when the import is finished. If there are only a few users, this process can take as little as a few seconds to a few hours.

Once the import is done, you can refresh the screen and see the new users added with the correct role and tag.
