The AI Companion feature enhances the live class experience by automatically generating AI-powered summaries for Zoom live sessions. This feature helps learners and instructors quickly review important discussion points and key takeaways from the session.
The generated summary will be available inside the Live session and can be downloaded for future reference.
How can you enable/disable AI Companion feature
Start or join the your live session.
Inside Zoom, click the AI Companion button.
The button can be found either under the More... section or directly on the toolbar as in the following image.
If you open the live session in a browser, you can find the button in the bottom toolbar section.
When you click the button, you will find the option to enable or disable the Meeting Summary feature.
If this option is enabled, the generated summary will be available in the AI Summary tab inside the Live after the session ends.
Accessing the AI Summary
After the session ends:
Navigate to the Live session page.
Open the AI Summary tab.
View the generated summary.
Download the summary if required.
Important Notes
The AI Summary feature works only if the AI Companion option is enabled during the Zoom session.
If AI Companion is not enabled, no summary will be generated.
Summary generation may take a few moments after the live session ends.
The quality of the summary depends on the audio clarity and discussion during the session.
