Course Discussions allow students enrolled in a course to interact and discuss lesson-related topics. These discussions are automatically linked to lessons and appear inside the Community.
How Course Discussions Are Created
Course discussions are created only when the Discussion option is enabled for a lesson. To do this, go to Course → Curriculum, edit the lesson, and check the Enable Discussion option.
Once enabled for a lesson, the discussion is automatically created.
The discussion will then appear inside the Community section.
Visibility & Access Rules
The discussion is visible only to students enrolled in the specific course.
Non-enrolled users and students from other courses cannot view or access the discussion.
Discussion Naming & Structure
The discussion name is automatically set to the course name.
All lesson discussions under the same course appear within this single discussion space.
There is no option to rename the discussion.
The default star icon cannot be changed.
Cannot move to any other category
Please note:
Once a Course Discussion is created, it cannot be removed or deleted.
There is no option to move the discussion to another community category.
The discussion settings (name, icon, category) are fixed and cannot be customized.
