The Follow Member & Follow Post features are two social interaction functionalities available within an online community platform.
1. Follow a Member
This feature allows users to follow other members within the community.
When you follow someone, you will receive updates or notifications when:
They post new content
They comment or engage in discussions
Let us see how to follow a member.
Go to Community > Members.
Locate the member you want to follow.
Click the "Follow" button next to their name.
Once followed, you'll be notified whenever that member interacts in the community.
After following, the button changes to 'Unfollow'. To stop following, simply click the 'Unfollow' button.
2. Follow a Post
When following a post, the user gets notified when:
New comments are added to the post
Someone likes the thread
The steps to follow a post:
Go to Community.
On the post you want to follow, click the bell icon (🔔) to enable notifications.
You'll now be notified about all interactions on that post.
Once you follow a post, a blue bell icon will appear to indicate that you are now following it. You can unfollow the post by clicking on the same bell icon.
