The Chat option can be found at the top right of the Community section.
1. One-to-One Chat
Chat directly with any member.
Steps:
Click the Chat icon (top-right of the Community Feed).
The chat panel will open. Click Start New Chat.
Search for the member by their name or email.
Click Start to begin chatting.
Add text messages or emojis or voice messages and send to begin the chat.
When your message is sent, grey tick marks indicate it has been delivered to the user. When the tick marks turn blue, it means the user has read the message.
You can also add reactions to messages to express yourself quickly.
The post owner can edit, delete, or reply to their own comment by clicking the three dots next to it.
They can also reply to or mute comments from others. When a user is muted, no further intimation on chat will be received from them.
To remove a person from chat, click on the people icon and remove the user by clicking the 'X' mark. Please note that removing a user from a personal chat will permanently delete the entire conversation.
2. Group Chat
Create group conversations with multiple members.
Steps:
Click the Chat icon and start a one-to-one chat with any member.
Then click the Group icon to convert it into a group.
Click Start Group Chat.
Search and add other members to the group.
Optionally, name your group for easy reference.
Chat Features
Online Status: See who is online or last seen (visible in profiles).
Message Control:
Members can allow or deny messages.
These settings can be managed via the Profile in the Community tab.
Admins can message all members.
